Hey, I’m Sara — a single mum, a personal trainer, and someone who got thrown into menopause at 36 after breast cancer.
Chemo, radiotherapy, hormone therapy, and then surgery to remove my ovaries… all in under a year.
And just like that, menopause was here — full force, no warning.
I was exhausted. In pain. Foggy. Angry.
Honestly? I didn’t even recognise myself.
And while I’m still tired some days (and yep, the pain hasn’t fully gone)... it’s so much better now.
I’m clearer. I understand what’s happening in my body. And I have tools — and that changes everything.
Back then, though? I had no clue what was going on.
I’d ask my doctor and get polite nods and vague answers:
“It’s normal.”
“It’s just hormones.”
“It’s just menopause.”
And I remember thinking — what does that even mean? Just menopause?
None of that helped when I forgot my own kids’ names mid-sentence.
Or when I stood in front of my clients, unable to explain the exercises I’d taught a hundred times before.
When I was wide awake at 3 a.m., soaked in sweat.
When I felt completely disconnected — from my body, my friends, my work, my goals… from myself.
No one warned me how brutal this could be.
And no one told me I wasn’t alone.
So… I made something.
Something I wish I’d had at the start.
